You may not know these names: Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. If you follow world affairs, you most certainly do. Without making a political statement, these two billionaires have spent many days circling the globe, working with leaders of hostile nations to find a path to peace. In the past few years, they have negotiated cease-fires that seemed impossible and helped create an agreement among six Middle Eastern nations known as the Abraham Accords. Amazingly, this includes Israel and five Muslim countries. These guys are international peace pursuers. Interestingly, there are a few nations that will never join the accords and will work to undermine the peace they bring. They are the deceitful, evil people Solomon refers to in this passage. My middle son would be very good at this role. He often leads in peaceful negotiations in the family and with others. He is willing to lose out in order to facilitate peace with others. It helps him live a less stressful life, and it helps the rest of us as well. I often refer to him as the most Christlike member of our extended family in that regard. Today, pursue peace. #BeTheEdge
