I need this truth daily. As life throws challenges at us and we can start to feel a bit defeated, or as though defeat is headed our way, it is very comforting and even empowering to remember who our King is. It’s also powerful to remember that He is not only on our side, but He will always be on the winning side—the only side that matters. Reading through the list of what He has done and meditating on those things will literally refresh and relax your spirit. I’m not sure we need anything more than we need that. The powerful thing in Solomon’s verse is that, unlike his readers in that day, we truly do know His name and who He is. They knew Yahweh; we know Yahweh and Jesus. Over the years, I’ve heard people say they’re glad to be alive today because there’s air conditioning. I’m glad to be alive today because there’s the story and the presence of Jesus and the indwelling Holy Spirit. These are amazing things that are just a small representation of what God and His power have done and continue to do. Today, reflect on Him and find peace and joy. #BeTheEdge
