“The wise prevail through great power, and those who have knowledge muster their strength.”

We have all most likely heard the phrase “brains over brawn.” The word for “power” in this verse means “strength, might, vigor, or physical/effective capability; capacity, efficiency, and the ability to produce results or prevail.” It is derived from a root meaning “to be firm” or “to exert force.” Solomon is telling us that operating by God’s Truth gives us greater power than the world alone offers. Specifically, when building your home or preparing for spiritual warfare, we are given both the understanding and the access to supernatural strength and the capacity to operate from it. God gifts His followers with many things. As a king, Solomon knew the value of having God on his side in every battle. He also surely witnessed the results of trusting in one’s own strength. There are life challenges I’ve faced and attempted to handle in my own strength, only to get beaten to a pulp. I’ve worked to learn the lesson from them and place my trust firmly in the hands of the Almighty. Today, give Him your battles. #BeTheEdge
