“When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.”
We bumped into this truth a little bit yesterday. God has the power to influence not only His children’s hearts but even those of non-believers. The fact that they will operate at peace with those who please God does not mean they will be trustworthy friends. But it does mean that, as we live a life of integrity representing our King, He will go into every meeting and relationship we’re a part of. He precedes us, He follows us, and He does whatever He desires with the hearts of those we interact with and encounter. Sometimes the result is the restoration of a friendship that has been damaged. Other times, it is simply that we will be able to operate in peace without harassment and attack from others. Whichever happens, the core of this verse is that we are to live godly lives, and He will handle the response of others. We cannot change another person’s heart or mind, but God can. Today, be at peace with those around you and let God determine their response. #BeTheEdge
