Here’s an amazing truth: God has never lied. God has never broken a promise. His Word, His truth, is 100% flawless. In reality, it is difficult for us to even grasp that. We have never experienced it with any other living being, past or present, and we will never experience it from anyone other than Him in the future. Sometimes we damage relationships because we expect that kind of perfection. We may expect it from others, while knowing it is not even close to possible for ourselves. Occasionally, we do what we call “shading the truth” or simply omit details while speaking what we consider to be the truth. God never does either of those things either. When you look into His Word, it is 100% truth and has been from the moment the first word of Job was written until the last word of Revelation. It is all dependable, solid, never-shifting, never-changing truth. And that is awesome! In a world of shifting morals and behaviors, a world that often seems to thrive on disinformation—or at least misinformation—we have a place to go that is always solid, stable, and honest.
