“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.”

This is a particularly large group. Jesus actually said they far outnumber those of us who aren’t being led to death or moving toward slaughter. The truly sad thing is that they are basically unaware of their situation and what is to come. But we are not. There is a huge responsibility for us in this verse. It is repeated throughout Scripture. Jesus Himself told us to go into all the world and do this very thing. In the next verses, Solomon lets us know that we cannot say we didn’t realize our responsibility. If we see someone walking in a direction that will lead them to fall off a cliff, we would do whatever we could to stop them — at least anyone with the slightest compassion would. If they argue with us, we would still want to find a way to help them understand. Imagine how much easier that task would be if we had been traveling through life near them and being kind to them. When we speak boldly about the disaster ahead, they will certainly be more prone to stop and listen. That is actually the reality behind The Edge Three Story Lifestyle. It is the model Jesus gave us.
