“The wise prevail through great power, and those who have knowledge muster their strength.”

In this verse, Solomon is letting us know that power comes from God’s wisdom. This is true power. In the New Testament, God takes it even further when He tells us that the power He places in us as His followers is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him in heaven next to Him. Ponder that a moment. You most likely just kept reading. I’m encouraging you to stop for a moment and truly consider the unimaginable truth in that reality. Solomon is talking about prevailing—finding victory—through power received in knowing God’s promises, truth, and wisdom beyond this world’s understanding. Now take that and wrap it in the New Testament understanding of what happens when the third person of the triune God enters your dead spirit and breathes new life into you at the instant of salvation. The Greek word for this is dunamis. It’s where we get the words dynamic and dynamite. It is unimaginable that we contain this power. Combine the power Solomon tells us about with the full explosiveness of the Holy Spirit, and it is time to change our world. Today, let the power loose. #BeTheEdge
