“No one can be established through wickedness, abut the righteous cannot be uprooted.”

When I picture the righteous not being uprooted, I immediately think of John chapter 15. It is in this chapter that Jesus tells us He is the vine and we are the branches connected to Him. The idea that anyone could uproot Jesus is so ridiculous it is almost entertaining to imagine the effort of someone trying to do so. Satan gave it his best shot in the desert and failed magnificently. There is no greater or firmer place for a follower of Jesus to be than intimately connected to Him. Another powerful image is being built on His Word as our foundation. Again, no one will shake or topple us if our foundation is Christ alone. It is just as ridiculous as imagining someone trying to cling to the ground by themselves—especially when the ground is sand and a storm hits. Going through life believing you will never face a storm is a fantasy in itself. We will all face storms. Today stand firm in Jesus. #BeTheEdge
