“In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

October 3, 2025Proverbs 3:6

Many of us know this verse as the constant companion of the prior verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;” (Proverbs 3:5 NIV). They belong together. However, I must confess that too often in my journey I have quoted this verse the way it’s written but lived it as “in most of your ways…” One of the main reasons The Edge ministry exists is the desire of business leaders who serve God to take their faith into their marketplace. Too many times, work has been excluded from the believer’s understanding of where their faith should be preeminent. It was seen as a place where we were to submit to our boards, investors, clients, customers, and many others who we might believe should control our focus and loyalty. School, athletics, recreation or wherever we are—as Solomon clearly put it, in all our ways—we submit to God first. This reality has blessed many businesses. It has also cost some their jobs. We have no guarantee when we live that way, other than that He will direct our lives exactly where He created us to go. Today, submit all of your life to Him. #BeTheEdge

“Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.” Jeremiah 10:23 NIV
