Here is a great reason to hire well: this principle doesn’t apply only to management. Smart business leaders understand that every employee communicates something about the business they represent—through their interactions with coworkers, vendors, clients, and customers. In the same way, we all reflect the One we serve. If we live lives that serve only ourselves, the challenge is relatively low. But if we serve God it becomes a magnificently high calling. It means being salt and light to a dark and flavorless world. God gives us—all of us—His very best. We should offer no less in return. When the world sees us, they should be blessed and inspired to seek the God we serve. Some will be turned off by how we love and reflect Him. These are the ones who are committed to recognizing no god but themselves and their desires. But we must not allow them to drag our message down. God is certainly aware of how He is represented by His followers. If we desire opportunities to bring His presence into a lost and hurting world, He will entrust that mission to those who are faithful. Today, live lives that are trustworthy. #BeTheEdge
