“The Lord detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness.”

There are so many great reasons to pursue God’s way of right living. The benefits truly are endless. However, His love has to top the list. His righteousness is found in the love of His Son. I love my grandchildren. Okay, yes—I love my kids too. But I really love those grands. There is no conceivable need (or want) they could bring to me that I wouldn’t try to meet, if at all possible. Some of them even know how to go on my phone and order from Amazon without my help—or even my knowledge! Yes, there’s a degree of trust there. If I, in my broken (and at times broke) state, feel that strongly about providing every good thing possible to those I love, how much more does God feel that way? Scripture tells us this is true. Interestingly, just as it’s not a prerequisite that my grandkids behave perfectly for me to bless them when I can, God’s only prerequisite—like mine—is that we are His children. Giving our lives to the One who created us and loves us enough to pay for our rescue with the precious, incalculably valuable life of His Son is the only requirement to be made righteous in His eyes. Today, pursue Him. #BeTheEdge
