“Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.”

If you are like us you will be with a lot of family this Easter season. I have always heard that a lot of families have a no religion or politics rule for their gatherings. I don’t really know why people want to sit around and discuss politics when they are together anyway. There seems to be enough politics in most lives the rest of the time. When our family gathers we would much rather reminisce, catch up, tell stories, play games and laugh. There just isn’t time for the foolishness of politics. Now as far as religion I’m not particularly a fan of that either. But, Jesus is a different subject, literally. Jesus did not came to bring religion, He brought a relationship. People get offended by religious differences. The loving kindness of our Savior is healing. Solompn is right, no surprise there, that being alone with a sandwich beats fighting and a feast. However, that doesn’t mean feasting has to lead to fighting. When Christ rules we can enjoy one another with much or little. It’s not about the food or the crowd. It’s about His presence. Today love Jesus and be kind. #BeTheEdge
