“Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.”

Wisdom is speaking in this verse. In this chapter we learned that wisdom existed with God from before the world began. It was His wisdom that crafted all the plans we have seen and continue to see unfold throughout creation. In love God offers His wisdom to guide and direct our lives. The result, He tells us, is blessing. The alternative is the curse. Thats the promise of the fallen condition that sin has visited on the planet and the lives of those who reject God’s gracious gift of wisdom and salvation. James tells us that God offers His wisdom freely to those who ask for it. Earlier in Proverbs we see wisdom as a moral and social solution for those who follow God. Here we see it elevated to the Divine. That’s significant. God Himself reveals Himself and His will through the generous gift of His wisdom. To ignore or walk away from that is beyond foolish. It is the way of death. Today receive His gift and live wisely. #BeTheEdge

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
